Arline A. Blair. 84, of Bedford, NH died July 29, 2010 at Elliot Hospital. She was born November 5, 1925, in Port Reading, NJ, the daughter of Clifford and Carrie (Haliday) Blair and was educated the Woodbridge, NJ school system. For 25 years she had been a freelance photographic colorist in the New York/New Jersey area. Always a dog lover, she belonged to kennel clubs in New Jersey and New Hampshire where she showed and handled dogs for many years. She moved to Bedford in 1969, worked for Sanders Associates and New England Circuits until she retired. In 1978 she and Scott McWhorter partnered to form Paint & Patches, producing crafts, which they sold at craft fairs in the Southern New Hampshire area. She was an active member of Country Crafts Co-Op and Hillsborough County Craftsman for many years. She was a member of Intervale Country Club and spent part of many summers in New Harbor, ME.
Family members include her long-time friend Scott McWhorter of Bedford; and cousins, Stanley Jay of Sarasota, FL and Jim Ourganian of Bayfield, CO.
A calling hour will begin at 10:30 a.m ,.Monday at Goodwin Funeral Home 607 Chestnut Street corner of Harrison Street, Manchester., the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial is at Bedford Center Cemetery. Memorial may be sent to Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire Route 101 Bedford, NH 03110.
